Mohsin Kamal has practiced law in Pakistan and United States. He has extensive experience in structuring International deals between Governments, International institutions and multi nationals. He has advised Government of Pakistan on matters relating to sovereign guarantee, sovereign immunity, impact of International sanctions on Pakistan, Antiterrorism and money laundering legislations and numerous policy and regulatory matters. Mr. Mohsin Kamal has also an expertise in regulatory and legislative matters, structuring project finance deals, International litigation, International Trade and Bilateral Investment Treaties, National security and Antiterrorism law, International treaties and Government Contracts, Energy and infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Privacy law and International comparative laws.

• Represented Ministry of Commerce, NTDC, SECP, Premier Group and other corporates, individual and Government clients before all High Courts, NAB and civil courts of Pakistan in litigation matters related to the taxation, constitutional, corporate, civil and criminal issues
  
• Advised the Law Ministry, Foreign Affairs ministry on the various aspects of the KASHMIR ISSUE UNDER International Law, implementation of ICJ Judgment in Yadhev case, Nizam of Hyderabad Case, London, numerous UN Resolution and Treaties between Pakistan and UN Organizations/member states.
  
• Advised the Foreign Affairs Ministry on different aspect of the Law of Sea issues related to Continental SHELF Commission submissions on behalf of Pakistan.
  
• Advised The Senate Finance Committee on the legislative amendments proposed in the Anti- Money laundering Bill, Corporate Restructuring Bill, Deposit Protection Act, Future Market Bill, Secured Transaction Act, Companies Act 2017. Drafted the new legislative draft and structured the policy arguments into the bill language.
  
• Drafted, advised, and enabled the passage of the Islamabad Real Estate (Regulations & Development) Act 2020 from the both houses of the Parliament of Pakistan.
  
• Advised the Sindh and Baluchistan Government on the amendments in the Rule of Business and the drafting of the Organic budget law.
  
• Drafted detailed report for the World Bank on the prospect of the financial inclusion in Pakistan and was part of consultant team led by World Bank to advise the Senate of Pakistan as how to achieve it and how to adopt International best practices in Pakistan.
  
• Represented corporate entities in International Arbitration before the Singapore International Arbitration Court.
• Drafted the advisory opinion on the International Trade regime applicability on India-Pakistan-Afghanistan Transit Trade and the structuring of the regional connectivity.
  
• Advised and represented the US based consortium of Helix Energy Solutions Group in $620 million sale of offshore Gulf of Mexico oil and gas properties to Talos Energy LLC.
• Advised US consortium on the petroleum E&P policy 2009 and petroleum concession agreements/Production sharing agreement for the joint venture with the Pakistan Petroleum Limited in 2012
  
• Advised the US Senate Committee for Foreign Relation on the legislative Draft of Kerry- Lugar Bill. Did the research and drafted amendments for the proposed bill. Advise the members of the committee on the policy implications of the bill.
  
• Represented Blumberg Capital Partners (BCP) before the Defense Ministry and the Ministry of Finance of Pakistan. Advised BCP on the investment and public procurement regimes applicable in Pakistan and negotiated bridge financing facility on their behalf. Conducted due diligence, negotiated and lobbied on their behalf before the Government of Pakistan.
  
• Advised US energy firm on the sovereign guarantee issues in negotiations with the Finance Ministry of Pakistan. Drafted Power Purchase agreement [PPA] and did due diligence and negotiations with the team of the Finance ministry of Pakistan
  
• Successfully represented Guardian International before the Finance Minister of Pakistan in settling a trade dispute. Advised on various legal and procedural issues involved in the settlement of their claim.
  
• Member of team developing a project finance practice for energy and infrastructure projects in emerging markets. Drafted the memorandum on the investment policies and procedure in emerging markets. Advised US clients on investment regimes in emerging markets.
  
• Advised an American insurance company on the matter of conflict of laws, drafted a legal memorandum on the enforceability of Brazilian Penal judgment in US Court.
  
• Drafted memoranda and advised the Embassy of Pakistan on public international law and international relations issues. Drafted memoranda on diplomatic immunity, the principal of sovereignty, legality of drones strike under public international law, executive agreements and international treaties.
  
• Represented corporate entities in International Arbitration before the Singapore International Arbitration Court.
• Represented NTDC in an International Arbitration under ICC Administered Arbitration in France.
• Represented Government of Pakistan before the Eastern District Court of New York. Advised on various legal issues involved in civil suit, drafted legal memorandum and affidavits, did legal research and analysis of factual and legal issues involved in the case.
• Advised Government of Pakistan on Bilateral Investment Treaty between US and Pakistan.
• Advised Government of Pakistan on the legal implications of US-Iran sanction Act on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline.

• Member of Locke Lord Strategies team, assist senior partners of Locke Lord Strategies in formulating lobbying and public relation strategies for Government of Pakistan at Capitol Hill and US Media. 
• Advised Government of Pakistan on the passage of US Appropriation Bill authorizing defense aid for the Armed Forces of Pakistan 
• Member of Pakistan Action Plan team to develop project finance practice for energy an infrastructure projects in Pakistan. Drafted the memorandum on investment policies and procedure in Pakistan. Advised US clients on investment regimes in Pakistan.
• Drafted and vetted management and supply agreement of Tower Share Telecom company for OPIC financing application. 
• Advised US energy firm on the sovereign guarantee issues during its negotiations with Ministry of Finance. Drafted Power Purchase agreement and conducted due diligence. 
• Drafted amendments to the existing US privacy laws and conducted markup hearing for the passage of proposed amendments before US Congress. 
• Acted as lead counsel in the representation of a Dubai based construction group in the acquisition of various premium, commercial and residential real estate properties in Islamabad valued at approximately, U.S$ 20 million. Responsible for contract negotiations and drafting; coordinated all due diligence activities; led negotiations with the Capital Development Authority. 
• Member of seven person legal team representing the Chief Justice of Pakistan in the landmark case challenging the President’s authority to remove him. Responsible for drafting the constitutional petition.
• Member of four person arbitration team, representing German Construction group Alstom Powers against Water and Power Development Authority: Pakistan largest state owned energy enterprise. Analyzed the construction agreement; drafted the arbitration claim of U.S. $ 90 million; drafted the legal opinions regarding seeking damages for late delivery of equipment’s.
• Advised Clients and delivered innovative tax solutions for complex areas of tax laws. Has represented clients before tax authorities and assisted in preparing appeals before to the Tribunals and references before respective High Courts. Provided general tax advise based on current and evolving laws and rulings.
• Researched and drafted a research study titled: An over view of Activities and Legal Status of Private Military Companies.
